WHAT DO WE CALL DEPRESSION?
Clinical depression is a mood disorder in which feelings of profound sadness, despair, loss, anger, or frustration interfere with daily life for an extended period of time.
SYMPTOMS:
- Irritable or low mood most of the time
- Loss of the ability to enjoy life
- Difficulty falling asleep or excessive sleep
- Major change in appetite, often with weight gain or loss
- Tiredness and lack of energy
- Feelings of worthlessness, self-hatred, and guilt
- Difficulty concentrating
- Slow or fast movements
- Inactivity and withdrawal from usual activities
- Feelings of hopelessness or abandonment
- Repetitive thoughts of death or suicide
- Loss of pleasure in activities that usually make you happy
- Low libido, little or low sexual desire
The main types of depression:
- Major depression. It occurs when feelings of sadness, loss, anger, or frustration interfere with daily life for two weeks or longer.
- Persistent depressive disorderThis is a long-term depressive mood that lasts for years. Over that period, you may experience periods of major depression along with periods when symptoms are less severe.
Other common forms of depression:
- Postpartum depressionMany women feel somewhat depressed after having a baby, but true postpartum depression is more severe and includes symptoms of major depression.
- Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). Depressive symptoms that occur 1 week before menstruation and disappear after menstruation.
- Seasonal affective disorder (TAE). It occurs most frequently during the fall and winter seasons and disappears during the spring and summer, most likely due to lack of sunlight.
- Major depression with psychotic features. It happens when a person suffers from depression with a lack of contact with reality (psychosis).
Physical origin:
Depression is generally caused by the interaction of certain biological factors (hormonal and glandular changes, thyroid problems, alterations in brain neurotransmitters such as serotonin, norepinephrine and dopamine, genetic tendencies (which can be kept inactive if we have good habits).
Problems with the parathyroid gland, which is involved in the serotonin process. See this article for other associated symptoms, such as hair loss, bone and joint problems, dry skin, and bruising. https://alquimiaregenerativa.com/raiz-del-problema/
Mental and emotional origins:
The person's own way of processing information (psychological defense mechanisms). Depression is the means a person uses to avoid feeling pressure, especially emotional pressure. They can't take it anymore; they've reached their limit. People with depressive tendencies have internal and external conflicts to resolve. They must forgive, accept, drain, let go, release, and give themselves internal and external space from whatever is "pressuring" them, yet to be resolved.
It can appear due to psychosocial factors, stressful circumstances in emotional life, work or interpersonal relationships.
This can be triggered by a severe shock that exceeds the person's capacity to process it, such as a separation, grief over a death, or a major life change. An episode that rekindles a previously experienced trauma.
NATURAL TREATMENT
1- Check your thyroid function. If your thyroid isn't functioning properly, this is one of the symptoms of an imbalance. Avoid or limit gluten consumption if possible; it can damage your thyroid. https://alquimiaregenerativa.com/problemas-de-tiroides-y-soluciones-naturales/ https://alquimiaregenerativa.com/gluten-y-su-impacto-en-tiroides/
2- Check if there are breast implants, dental implants, IUDs, bone implants, or any implant that has heavy metals, which generate hormonal disruptions. https://alquimiaregenerativa.com/la-toxicidad-oculta-implantes/ https://alquimiaregenerativa.com/toxicidad-de-implantes-mamarios-como-limpiar-el-cuerpo-antes-o-despues-de-la-explantacion/
3- Check for root canal treatment. An active infection that suppresses the immune system and causes hormonal and emotional imbalances. https://alquimiaregenerativa.com/documental-hasta-la-raiz/
4- Avoid animal products such as meat and meat products, dairy products, cheeses, yogurts, etc. They contain the growth hormones that are given to animals to fatten livestock + antibiotics, and they disrupt our hormones and alter our emotions.
5- Avoid fermented foods; they're addictive and cause neurotransmitter changes. The same goes for processed foods with added chemicals and flavor enhancers. They're addictive, hijack our thinking, and rob us of mental, emotional, and physical energy. They don't nourish us. They devitalize and clog the body with toxins. They retain fluids and cause weight gain with empty calories.
6- Eat fresh, vibrant foods, full of sunlight that illuminates us from within, such as raw fruits and vegetables. Fruit is best eaten during the day, and a hearty salad is the last meal, followed by something boiled, steamed, or at most baked. This way, the body is cleansed and replenished with nutrients and energy.
7- Avoid chemicals in industrial creams and household items, they add more toxins and darkness to the body.
8- Befriending and taking care of our menstrual cycle and hormones
9- Do psychoemotional release therapy, go deep and let go of interpretations about what happened in our lives, even from early childhood. Forgive ourselves, forgive, and truly free ourselves. Do that mental and emotional detox so that there's free space to put what I want there and build the life I DO want. It can be talk therapy with psychotherapists, biodecoding, dance, meditation, singing, music—anything that helps us free ourselves and connect with the most luminous and benevolent parts of ourselves.
10- Eat well and take care of our habits. Living, alkaline, raw vegan foods boost our immune system, cleanse the body of toxins, and keep us vital and full of light. The immune system improves. The healthier we are, the less medication we take. Medications mutate the flora and generate bacteria, fungi, and parasites. The more pathogenic the internal flora, the more toxic our body will be due to the waste they leave behind. They eat and defecate like we do, and there's a greater likelihood of internal imbalances, including neurotransmitter imbalances. The same thing happens if we have heavy metals in our bodies, from implants or other sources. Fungi develop to eat those metals.
11- If there were major traumas in adulthood or childhood, and the person failed to process them properly, they remain internal, on a physical, mental, and emotional level. Psychiatric medicine can be an option, as long as it goes hand in hand with psychoemotional treatment to truly overcome the trauma. Since all medication produces a change in the body's flora, and with this, organisms develop that generate modifications in neurotransmitters, treating it solely with medication is a vicious cycle.

12- Deworming: If we have emotional problems, it's very likely that our diet isn't optimal; if we have a poor diet, it's very common to have parasites. So, the only way to heal is to address the emotional root of our depression. That way, the whole thing heals.

13- Take care of your mental and auditory nutrition: What do I listen to? What do I watch? Things that nourish me or drain my energy? Take care of your energy, learn to manage it, and master it.
14- Sunbathe. Vitamin D (not the supplement) helps regulate our biological clock and hormones in a simple way. Sunlight is the most powerful source. About 10-15 minutes a day during the cooler hours of the morning or evening.
15- Nature: A lack of nature and greenery around us can lead to depression. Our genetic makeup is designed to thrive in nature; when we lack it, things start to fail. If you live in the city, seek out green spaces, and if you don't have the opportunity, get out of the city; these are unhealthy places for the body and soul.
