DETOX: Effort today and peace later 

THE FIRST BIG STEP 

Thinking about giving up certain delicious but harmful foods brings with it a harsh thought, of suffering from those attachments. Yes, it's hard to break free from certain habits we're mired in, which harm our health and even, at times, dominate us. So, at first, taking the leap and getting out of that hole is difficult; it's scary, and at times, it's also painful. Wait, be patient—this is only at the beginning; later, the journey becomes more bearable. Keep reading and you'll see how. 

RESPECT YOUR TIMES

Some people begin with a strong sense of energy, eager to go further, overcome obstacles, without much fear, listening to their bodies and learning to help them when they need it. Others begin with fear and confusion, clinging to what's hurting them and afraid of not being able to let go, of being dominated by it over their own desire to heal. 

This is how you take the big step, the decision, connect with that strong intention or reason for doing it. Your life and your health are at stake, nothing more and nothing less. Let it be more out of LOVE than fear. Out of your desire to be better. 

It takes 21 days to generate new neural patterns. If we can sustain these actions for that long, they become second nature, and you struggle so much, you don't even think about it. Just as you brush your teeth in the morning without thinking, it's already part of your daily routine. 

EFFORT NOW, PEACE LATER 

Whether we start the detox with all our energy or are afraid of giving up, there are keys that make the path much easier. 

1- Deworming while detoxing: Eliminating certain toxic and inflammatory foods can be difficult at first; our gut contains microorganisms that are fully adapted to certain diets. If we're addicted to certain junk foods, it's a sign that we probably have parasites, so it becomes even more difficult to leave them uneaten and allow them to die and leave the body. 2- Support the elimination channels: Help them eliminate toxins, excess bacteria, fungi, parasites, reduce inflammation, and eliminate fluid retention, feces, and toxins. This helps the body decongest and begins to return more energy and fluidity to our body and health.

3- Get organized and have the foods we need for the detox on hand, whether at home or out, so you don't fall into other foods that might distract you from your process.

4- If we have strong cravings for foods we know aren't healthy, such as salty or sweet, we can try other options that won't take us out of the detox and won't cause more toxicity. These include dates, avocado, soaked seeds (in moderation, 6/7 pieces per day at most), cocoa, and nori seaweed. 

5- Write: When we detox, we see the great tendency we have as human beings to cover up emotions with food. Then there's nowhere to run. In detox, there are no foods with additives, sugar, flavor enhancers, etc. that quickly change our chemistry and take us to an instant state of pleasure. There's nowhere to run. What we interpret as good, bad, beautiful, or ugly. We have to work on it, letting go of burdens, junk thoughts, and emotions that upset us and drain our energy. 

Every thing you heal is one less burden to carry, and more energy returns to you to use as you wish. That's why we say that today's effort is a gain later. IT'S NOT ALWAYS A SACRIFICE. Freedom of choice is cultivated and gained as we break the chains that bind us to food, thoughts, emotions, ties that imprison us, immobile, and drain our energy. 

In our 21-day group and individual detox processes, we work on purging on a physical, mental, and emotional level. We use tools for each of our bodies. With support, detoxifying is more bearable. When you can do detox days, you can help detach yourself from toxic foods, thoughts, and emotions. 

Whether you start on your own or seek support, I invite you to begin and sustain these healthy changes with patience and acceptance of mistakes. No one does it perfectly. The key is to learn, forgive yourself, and move on.
