All the photos on social media look so pretty, but you don't know what's behind them. There's also anxiety behind this photo. In my case, I've learned to live with it, and it surfaces from time to time. Just like right now, as I write this.
Having experienced violence growing up made me feel insecure and highly anxious into adulthood. I sought refuge in food, alcohol, and toxic relationships, but it was still there.
Anxiety rears its head from time to time, but I don't run away from it anymore. I face it, like a good friend, and say, let's talk. What's going on? Why are you here today? What message do you have for me? What do I need to learn? Once I give it space and take its message, it goes back the way it came. So simple, yet sometimes complex… More than once, I wanted to run away.
Taking charge instead of running away is like disarming a bomb.
Here are some TOOLS that have worked very well:
Meditation (Free Masterclass tomorrow)Food (adrenaline-free, animals secrete adrenaline when they die and that passes into the body, no coffee, no mate) mucusless Some very soft cooked things (they help to anchor a little), if I'm on Detox I only make fruit Relaxing/anxiolytic tea: chamomile, linden, passionflower, valerian Cold and hot showers and then body oil (relaxing, try it!) If it's at night, banana tea (wash it, boil the pieces with the peel and all in water)Listen to medicinal and high-frequency music Rapé medicine that helps a calm mindWrite to let it all out and burn it Self-observation, looking inside and seeing what I need to heal
