Occasional or chronic digestive problems stem from an acidic diet, difficult digestion, and poor food combinations, which cause fermentation and putrefaction in digestion, gas, bloating, diarrhea or constipation, etc.
How to avoid digestive problems?
1- Consuming foods high in fiber (fruits and vegetables) helps move the food bolus and have good digestion.
2- Correct combination of foods to avoid fermentation
3- Avoid acidic, mucus-forming foods
4- Avoid meat, milk, and dairy products such as cheese, refined flour, and dairy products, as they are almost indigestible for the body and difficult to eliminate from the gastrointestinal tract, generating mucus and putrefaction.
Plants to relieve symptoms of poor digestion:
✔️ Plants with anti-flatulent and/or antispasmodic effects: Mint (Mentha piperita), Anise (Pimpinella anisum), Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla), Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis), Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare)
✔️ Antidiarrheal plants: Carob (Ceratonia siliqua), Blueberry (Vaccinium myrtillus)
✔️ Laxative plants: Ispagegula (Plantago ovata), Flax (Linum usitatissimum), Senna Herb
IMPORTANT: In case of constipation, the following are first recommended: Enemas, beetroot juice, 6/8 prunes; if this does not help, as a last resort, use plants with a laxative effect.
PS: Plants do not solve chronic gastrointestinal health problems.
The intention of using digestive plants is to help our digestive system while we regenerate and cleanse the intestine with alkaline, mucusless, and mostly live foods.
