HEALING THE RELATIONSHIP WITH FOOD

CHANGE OF CONSCIOUSNESS

We've all tried a thousand times and failed, unable to sustain a dietary change over time. Even though we know what's good and bad for us, we fall back into old patterns of behavior, often self-harming without being able to break free. For this reason, to change our diet and sustain changes over time, it's necessary to generate a real shift in consciousness from within. Heal our relationship with food and begin using it to nourish ourselves, not harm ourselves. 

DETECT HOW DO I CONNECT WITH FOOD?

  • How about real hunger or do I force myself to eat at rigid fixed times and stick to them even when I'm not hungry?
  • What do I associate eating with? Are there emotions behind my food choices?
  • Is there a culture behind my food choices? Do I feel like if I eat certain foods in a group, I feel more "comfortable" and belong?
  • How about when I “feel bored”? 

RECONNECTION WITH FOOD 

  • If you eat a lot of junk food, processed foods, cooked and acidic foods, empty calories, etc., start slowly by making room for real, whole foods from the earth. Fruits, raw, boiled, or steamed vegetables (more alkaline and less harmful), whole grains like quinoa, amaranth, legumes, healthy fats like avocado, cold-pressed oils, etc.
  • Deworming myself to break my addiction to processed foods due to parasites
  • Detect physical hunger from emotional hunger. Work through emotions that hold us back, not cover them up with indulgences (food or otherwise). Really heal from the root.
  • Listen to my body, what's good for it, what's not, accept that some things may be for others, but not for me. Don't eat junk food to fit in. Those who love us want us to see us look good. Sometimes, to be well, one must adjust certain aspects of one's personal path. 
  • Be careful what you watch, the junk propaganda that induces us to consume
