10 MISTAKES WHEN DOING A DETOX

If you're just starting to make changes to a healthier diet or are on a deep detox, we'll tell you some of the most common mistakes:

1- Not eating enough

Fruits and vegetables should be eaten in large quantities because they are less dense. A kilo of lentils is not the same as 1 kilo of fruit, for example. Eat until you are completely satisfied. Approximately 3 to 5 kilos per day (taking into account that after the skin and seeds are removed, they are almost pure water).

2- Not understanding the healing crisis

Fruit or a detox doesn't make you sick, but rather exposes the underlying weakness. When toxins are released, they can cause discomfort such as headaches, fatigue, kidney pain (removing acids), diarrhea, constipation (the gut adapting to the new microbiota), etc. These are brief and temporary; relief and healing follow.

3- Do not transition

We can't go straight from eating junk or processed foods to raw food (except in critical cases, where a guide is recommended). Gradually increasing your raw intake is important. For each week of a detox, it's recommended to start one week before entering and then another before exiting. If it's a change in eating style, it can take months or even years. A mucusless diet is a transition to a raw/fruitarian diet. It wouldn't be sustainable on an emotional level either; it's necessary to connect the changes with love, not with demands, to avoid setbacks and setbacks.

4- Eat a dense food and stop the Detox

We can feel unwell if we suddenly incorporate very heavy or processed foods from a very light diet. If we do give in to temptation, it's better to do so with a "microdose," just a small bite, and then return the next day to light foods.

5- Combining foods incorrectly

Not respecting the trophic combinations of foods generates fermentation, bloating and gas at the intestinal level, and it is a very common mistake. https://tinyurl.com/4trhnupa

6- Not respecting digestion times

We must always remember that fruits take 30 minutes to digest, bananas take 1.5 to 2 hours, and vegetables take 1.5 to 2 hours. We must remember the digestion times to avoid interrupting digestion, overtaxing the body, and generating bloating and gas.

7- Not processing emotional hunger

Not knowing how to process emotions correctly often leads us to want to cover them up with food. Learning to distinguish real physical hunger from emotional hunger is key to being able to succeed in a detox. https://alquimiaregenerativa.com/hambre-fisico-vs-emocional-parasitos/

8- Not being prepared when hunger strikes on the street

If you're on a detox, it's important to bring your food and Tupperware with you so you can stay on track with your diet and avoid heavy foods that can cause a health setback due to a sudden change in digestion. Always carry fruit or seeds in your backpack or bag.

9- Lack of Patience

Wanting to undo years of poor eating habits in just a few days of detox? Changing lifestyles and old patterns takes effort, time, and learning; the long-term path requires a lot of compassion and patience. Keep up the good work and keep going!

10- Leave aside the mental and emotional

Detox isn't just physical; many old mental patterns (self-sabotage) are broken, and emotions emerge to be healed. It's necessary to be consistent so you don't fall back into old patterns.
