Lenny Kravitz says the secret to his youth is “eating raw and vegan”
Kravitz first revealed during an interview with Men's Health in 2020 that he has been eating primarily raw since 2016.

However, the most surprising of his revelations may be that he “mostly” eats raw vegetables – and he also grows most of them himself! These were his answers to the question about the secret of his longevity and good health.
In an interview Kravitz said:
«I have a garden where most of this food comes from. As you can see, I am vegan and primarily raw vegan. I have been on extensive raw diets when I eat raw for a year. When I am here, I love to eat as much fruit as possible, especially in the summer.
I'm very careful about what I put in my body and how I take care of it, so it's a combination of eating all these things that I've shown you and working out and keeping my muscles and my joints in shape so that I can do what I do, which is get on stage and play music and have a body that feels free to be able to express myself.
Stephanie McBurnett, RDN, nutrition educator for the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (a medical group with 17,000 physician members) explains that the nutrients in a plant-based diet could be the key to a fit physique.
"Animal products lack fiber and have high amounts of saturated fat and cholesterol, which, as we age, can contribute to chronic diseases such as obesity, heart disease, type 2 diabetes and some cancers," says McBurnett.
